Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival
Arvada, CO
I didn’t manage to build a single guitar this year — I had to fight cancer. My therapy either left me completely drained of energy, or—when my doctors urgently needed to get pancreatitis under control (a side effect of immunotherapy - three times this year) — the high doses of steroids caused shaky hands and unbearable anxiety. Fortunately, medical advances still give me a chance!
But to the Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival in Arvada, Colorado, I HAD to go!
Whenever I felt better, I worked on my Little Project. So I am heading to the festival with this Little Project — an old guitar, Cindy, the prototype of my archtops, for which I made a new baritone neck.
I wonder if anyone needs an archtop with a multiscale baritone neck? Anyway... we're on our way to Arvada.
